Matcha Price in Egypt: How to Compare Before You Buy

Matcha pouches come in very different sizes, so the pouch price alone tells you little. The fair way to compare is price per gram and price per cup.

How to calculate it

Divide the price by the grams, then multiply by the grams you use per cup (about 4 g for a strong latte, 2 g for a lighter one).

ZMatcha prices in Egypt (November 2026)

  • 40 g ceremonial matcha: 870 EGP, about 10 cups
  • 80 g ceremonial matcha: 1,165 EGP, about 20 cups
  • 100 g ceremonial matcha: 1,480 EGP, about 25 cups
  • 1 kg ceremonial matcha: 10,195 EGP, about 250 cups

The bigger the size, the lower the price per cup. The 1 kg bag is the best value for daily drinkers and cafés, while 80 g suits most people who drink matcha a few times a week.

Combos save on syrup

If you like sweet lattes, a combo with syrup costs less than buying both separately. See the 80 g + syrup and the gift boxes.

What else affects the price

Grade, freshness and packaging. A cheap pouch that tastes bitter usually ends up unused. Delivery is calculated at checkout and you can pay cash on delivery anywhere in Egypt.
